NEPAL: International Day of the Disappeared – new action & video by Amnesty International
To mark the International Day of the Disappeared (30 August) Amnesty International has produced a video and web action. We will also have a number of articles published in the media.
Video and Web Action:
Working with Purnimaya Lama (wife of Arjun Lama) and local photographer Nayan Tara Gurung Kakshapati we have produced a short multi-media piece. This can be viewed on Amnesty International’s YouTube Channel by following this link;
This will feature on the front page of Amnesty International’s global website on 30 August (English version). A Nepali version is also available.
A web action calling for the police to actively investigate all cases of disappearances, and arrest those accused of killing Arjun Lama, is now on Amnesty International’s Activism Centre. To take part in the action follow this link;
